Varicose Vein Ulcer – Left Leg
Patient (Male- age 55) suffers from severe varicose vein ulcers on both right and left leg. Patient was treated in State Hospital clinic for 17 years without any improvement in the condition of the wound.
Arrival
Debrided & Sorusal applied together with compression bandages. Very infected, offensive wound.
Day 3
Wound still offensive. Sorusal applied again with compression bandages.
Day 10
Wound bed much cleaner. Legius applied.
Day 22
Patient referred to plastic surgeon.
Day 37
Good granulation, wound was inspected for infection. Legius applied.
Day 80
Varicose Vein Ulcer – Right Leg

Good granulation, wound was inspected for infection. Legius applied.
Day 80
Wound ready for variouse vein stockings whilst continuing with Legius dressing.
Lower Leg Ulcer – Medial side, Left Leg
Patient (Female- age 45) presents with varicose vein ulcer on both the left and right side of the left leg.
Day 1
Very offensive, infected wound. Sorusal & Compresssion bandages applied.
Day 5
Excessive exudate. Sandwich dressing applied with Legius placed on wound bed to promote granulation and Sorusal to assist with absorption. Compression bandages.
Day 7
Excessive exudate. Sandwich dressing applied with Legius placed on wound bed promote granulation and Sorusal to assist with absorption. Compress in bandages.
Day 13
Good granulation, wound much drier. Legius applied together with compression bandage.
Day 16
Good granulation, wound much drier. Legius applied together with compresssion bandage.
Day 33
Good granulation, wound much drier. Legius applied together with compresssion bandage.
Day 40
Continue with Legius & compression bandages. Wound in quick healing phase.
Lower Leg Ulcer – Lateral side, Left Leg
Patient (Female- age 45) presents with varicose vein ulcer on both the left and right side of the left leg.
Day 1
Very offensive, infected wound. Sorusal & Compresssion bandages applied.
Day 5
Excessive exudate. Sandwich dressing applied with Legius placed on wound bed to promote granulation and Sorusal to assist with absorption. Compression bandages.
Day 7
Excessive exudate Sandwich dressing applied with Legius placeed on wound bed to promote granulation and Sorusal to assist with absorption.
Day 16
Good granulation, wound much drier. Legius applied together with compression bandage.
Day 33
Good granulation, wound much drier. Legius applied together with compresssion bandage.
Day 40
Continue with Legius & compression bandages. Wound in quick healing phase.
Diabetic Foot
Patient (Male- age 62) presented with a diabetic gangerous foot. As can be seen on the photos, necrotic tissue can be found on the right foot and 5th digit. The 5th digit was amputated and deep debridement of necrotic tissue was done.
Arrival
Patient presented with a diabetic gangrenous foot with necrotic tissue.
Debridement
Amputation of 5th digit right foot, and deep debridement of right foot. Sorusal was applied.
Day 2
Wound still septic & a lot of exudate present. Sorusal applied.
Day 3
Legius soaked in Betadine solution & plugged in wound.
Day 6
Wound is cleaner, Legius applied.
Day 9
Good granulation, Legius applied.
Day 14
Good granulation, Legius applied.
Day 16
Good granulation, Legius applied.
Day 32
Wound is much smaller and Legius was applied.
Day 39
