Pressure Wounds

Bedsore
Patient was hospitalized for Malaria. While he was in the hospital he developed a bedsore (pressure wound) as hospital staff neglected to frequently turn him on his sides.

Arrival
Wound presented with excessive exudate and slough. Daily debridement of necrotic tissue & sandwich dressing was applied. Legius applied and wound plugged with Sorusal.

Day 8
Good granulation, wound plugged with Legius every second day.

Day 19
Very good granulation, continue with Legius plugging.

Day 25
Patient referred to plastic surgeon.
